Renowned Playboy and Maxim model, as well as actress, Masuimi Max, was tragically found dead in her Las Vegas-area home on Thursday, January 25. Emergency first responders arrived at her residence following a call just before 11:30 am ET.

An investigation into the 45-year-old’s death is set to take place, although no foul play is currently suspected, as reported by TMZ.

Masuimi Max, who was scheduled to appear at a Vegas Chaos anniversary event at The Dive Bar on January 27, had a career that began in 2000. She graced the pages of popular magazines such as Alt Magazine and Bizarre Magazine. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Max, of Korean and German descent, moved to Las Vegas with her family when her father retired from the Air Force during her teen years.

Described by Sinical Magazine as a “master of disguise,” Max was not only a model but also an accomplished fire performer and burlesque dancer. She often crafted her own costumes and backgrounds, inspiring a legion of alternative models to follow her unique style.

According to IMDb, Masuimi Max was an international performer, top alternative/fetish model, actress, and the owner of I Am Sin cosmetics. She modeled for renowned brands such as Harley-Davidson, Coffin Case, Pinup Girl Clothing, Murray & Vern latex, and Bibian Blue. She also served as the spokesmodel for Pinup Girl Clothing.

Model Mayem magazine acknowledged her significant influence, paving the way for many models in the industry. With almost 100 magazine covers and numerous features in music videos, TV shows, and movies, Masuimi’s list of credits showcased her dedication, talent, and hard work.

Sinical Magazine drew parallels between Masuimi Max and the iconic Dita Von Teese, emphasizing their unquestionable influence on current models. Both Max and Von Teese have been modeling and performing full time since the 1990s, earning them a place among the ranks of Miss Page, as highlighted by Sinical Magazine.

The unexpected passing of Masuimi Max has left a void in the entertainment industry, and as investigations unfold, the world mourns the loss of a true original who dedicated her life to doing what she loved.
